Think it goes well with all that the last part of Sacrifice represents - lies coming to a close, love and pain... and one willing to give up all and the other just wanting to follow them.

Wow, that does sound like an awesomely epic feat.

Most of the songs that make me think of Xena are more general and describe the overall series instead of one particular episode, but here are a few that I think might work:

"Friends Never Say Goodbye" - Elton John. I mainly think of this song for Gabrielle in The Quest, when she says the line, "I won't say goodbye to you Xena. Because we'll be together again one day."

"Bigger Than My Body" - John Mayer. This in general reminds me of Joxer, but I think it could specifically apply to For Him the Bell Tolls, especially at the end.

"Accidentally in Love" - The Counting Crows. Again, it generally reminds me of Xena/Gabrielle, but the lyrics kind of remind me of the cave scene in Altared States when Gab is on nutbread and says, "By the gods, you are beautiful!"

"It's Only Love That Gets You Through" - Sade. This reminds me of Gabrielle overall, but especially in Fallen Angel when she forgives Callisto. I see you've already got a song for FA, but maybe you could fit this in for another episode.

I hope you can use some of these. I'll let you know if I think of any more.

Ares puts Xena in the coffin after she 'commits suicide' and he obviously sees it to be a tragedy because of how he feels about her. And the 'judgement day'/'dying destiny' could be referring to Eve and the Twilight of the Gods.



I'm not sure what episode this would go with, but it kind of reminds me of the Xena/Ares relationship sometimes.

The first verse that I listed because it seems like they always find way to cause pain to each other in one way or another (though it usually seems to be him causing it on her) and the second because it's not like Ares doesn't know he's hurting her when he wants to. Also, even if she won't admit it she probably knows that he's always there if she really needs him (thinking Amphipolis Under Siege -- sure she tricked him but she could do it because he was there). And the last bit just generally being the cocky side of Ares.


I wish I could think of more, but unforunately most of my music is on my computer that's off for repairs and I have things to do later, but I'll have to come back if I think of more.
